Did you ever have leftovers from dinner that was so good that you ate it early in the morning? I don't mean breakfast, I mean an extra early lunch because you looked forward to it?

I made pasta e fagioli yesterday and it was absolutely amazing. I ate it for lunch at 10AM because I was thinking about it all night and morning! LOL

Oh I do that all the time lol My husband is a great cook. Me, not so much lol He takes the time to season just right & some foods are just better the next day. The spices tend to meld into better flavors the longer it sits.

Agreed!! Soups, stews and chili really taste better the next day.

If I can not eat any more I just leave it and throw it away. Depends on the meal. Most meals are not good to warm up again.

Eeek. Throw away food? I grew up poor so food was never thrown away! I remember a hot dog dropped in the fire when I was a kid and my grandmother said we had to eat it.

I agree and it suits my lazy way of cooking which is to batch cook and freeze.

That's something I don't do either. I think I got that from my parents who had to endure food rationing during WWII. It's also money down the drain!

Oh definitely the WWII mindset affected families for a couple generations. My mom saved bacon grease to use for later and we recycled many things instead of throwing them away. I feel so guilty when I throw things in the trash now.

We're Dutch & my Dad grew up in a large family of 15 kids. They learned to make do & be creative. It carried over into my life as well. I hate waste!
