So, on my board, I have some banned users. Most are reregs and trolls, but some are legitimate users that have been banned permanently for doing something wrong.
Do you guys let banned users back in after a while? If they've learned their lesson, and it's been a while, I usually contact them.
It depends if they are an actual asset to the forum and aren't just someone who joins forums, breaks rules, and moves on. If they show potential as a member, sure. Everyone should have a second chance.
If they are just trolls and they attempt at getting back on, then no.
Two members that we've had for the longest time became very abrasive towards each other and certain other members, and no matter how many times they'd been banned, they still wouldn't change their attitudes.
Therefore, it depends, but it shouldn't be an afterthought for the most part.
Depends what the situation was in the first place and if they show that they have learnt from the previous problems. I am all for giving people a second chance if they show that they won't make the mistake again.
