Lieberman: U.S. Should Attack Iran's Nuclear Program

Sen. Joe Lieberman says the world is at a "turning point in history," and the United States should begin preparing plans to attack Iran's nuclear program — and use that option if all diplomatic and other means fail.

I am kinda 50/50 on this.

Yes, we should use nuclear weapons if we have to, but there are other alternatives than to drop a few nukes on another country, in order to stop what they are doing.

That's possible. A little scary to think about, considering countries like Russia and the US have enough weapons to blow up the world several times.

Iran's government SHOULD be stopped. That's what Iranian people want as well. I'm saying that because I've seen people in Tehran streets being attacked by government polices last year, just because they wanted to have a fair presidential election.

Now the question is: How can USA help Iranian people without bombing them?

Iran simply cannot be allowed to possess nuclear weaponry. All options need to be on the table when negotiating with Iran and if needed we need to bomb them to smithereens. These guys are Islamic extremists who cannot be allowed to possess weapons of this caliber. If they are, then who knows what will happen. At this early stage we need to make sure this does not escalate. If wiping them off the map is means to that end, then it may have to be done. I doubt we will nuke them, though. The most likely attack would be bunker-buster bombs, cruise missiles, and so forth.

And before anyone says "Why can't the Iranians have nukes if we can", here is my response:

I realize nations like the United States and Russia have lately been dismantling their nuclear weapons, and hats off to them. Having said that, the United States shouldn't boss Iran, and neither should they boss the western world. I just find this hypocritical.

Seriously, these guys are INSANE NUTJOBS. Even the Russians are more trustworthy with nukes than these extremists.

What I find really ironic is that the lessons Islam actually promotes is actually more similar than different when comparing to Christian values. Terrorism is actually not a thing that is actually promoted (a lot of my friends are Sunnis and Shias) in Islam. The fact that you call them extremists (and calling every other country a Communist in an earlier post) is rather racist and rude.

These people cannot be negotiated with, their entire livelihood is bullying the more peaceful populace of the area around and hating on westerners.
