We had a motivational speaker come out at work to talk to all the employees a couple months back. He talked about his battles with being an alcoholic pot head with no job.. then broke out of it & became humanitarian or something..
It seems some people need to see someone worse off than themselves or hear a story about someone who hit bottom and got out of it in order to be motivated. Those methods of motivation don't really inspire me to be honest but I'm glad it works for some.
