Linkin Park Frontman Committed Suicide

Chester Bennington, lead singer of the band Linkin Park, has committed suicide by hanging, TMZ reports. He was 41 years old.

Law enforcement officials tell the outlet that his body was found just before 9 a.m. on Thursday in a private residence in Palos Verdes Estates, a district of Los Angeles Country.

There are countless of posts in Facebook on this news. It appears that I have so many friends who are fans of Linkin Park. Come to think of it, the guy was given fame and wealth and he had the gall to waste his life just like that. Tsk, tsk, some guys have all the luck.

You know nothing about this guy (and in case you wondering, i do because i am a huge linkin park fan and i have followed them for years) so tsk tsk for you to have the guts to say this about a legend like him who has done nothing but good in his life

this guy has been struggling with life ever since he was a kid, he was molested/abused and that is something that damages you for life. He has been a wonderful human being throughout making incredible & epic music with his band named linkin park and has sent out a lot of hope and love into the world for people who also struggle and have a hard time coping with a sucky life.
The music he has made with his band has literally saved lives , incl my own.

You have no idea what he was going through, no matter how much the guy was famous and rich etc
Sounds like you are totally forgetting the fact people like him are the same like us, human beings
Just because he had all the things none of us will ever probably have, does not make him invisible to normal stuff we all go through.... pain , suffering, depression and other mental problems etc

Really sad news. 🙁 I had a friend who had tickets to see them on tour with Blink-182. Two of my favorite bands and one of their frontmen are now gone. 🙁 Really not sure where LP is going to go from here without Chester. R.I.P.

I don't think that is an appropriate question to ask. I don't think it's funny either. Suicide is a serious subject. We don't WHAT he was going through. I know a few people who have been tempted to do it because they feel it's the own way out.

That is a very creative and nice thing to do.

LinkinPark was not one of my preferred bands so I can't say much except according to him trending on twitter for more than a day and going through tweets to see what people were saying, I'd say he has reached a lot of people with his songs. People from all over the world were saying positive things about this guy. So not to sound rude but more importantly, if he was still alive he would be amazed at those that his presence impacted.

I was never really into the band members much..was really just interested in their music but I have to say that chester had an amazing voice..I really adore it RIP Chester
