Seems like some Private Blog Network (PBN) scam. The blogs (where backlinks are gotten) seem to be manufactured like mobile homes. Get real!

Correct, Google hates buying or exchanging backlinks. However, I see that some PBNs work like a real network that people can not know that it's a PBN unless the owner reveal it.

Some strong teams or in-house teams have built their own PBN network to use for their business and not for lease. IMO

A better solution would be to get a premium subscription to Ahrefs, Majestic etc. and examine people who are winning in the SERPS (SEO). OK, what better strategy is there but to copy the winners? Nonetheless, copying is probably very hard!

Totally agree with you...buying backlings will not help your site seo in any way. Moreover it will take your ranking down as it is not considered a good practice.

A better solution would be to get a premium subscription to Ahrefs, Majestic etc. and examine people who are winning in the SERPS (SEO).

That can be used to know your competitor strategy but i would also focus on improving my website ranking through seo and smo.

Because there are even more willing customers.

It's one thing to develop natural and relevant backlinks. For example, if you're a gaming site, you can seed your site in popular gaming blogs or YouTube videos.
Google is pretty smart about looking at the quality of sites, and if you're caught in a network of spammy backlink sites, you can be severely punished.
