List of must-have MODs for phpBB3 (download + info).

Must-have MODs is an oxymoron. If they were must-have they would be part of the original software. What MODs you should add depend on your forums purpose and should only be considered if they would benefit your community.
 
im using a few of those on my phpbb 3.0.10 forum,

i just wish most of the abandoned mods were updated cause there alot of neat ones that wont work with version 3.0.10

Some of these MODs Like "Quick Reply" have been added as default to the download anyway.

You need to check the version number when installing these MODs as soem haven't been updated since 3.0.6, Automod will fail on these, it fails on Ultimate points, if I remember rightly there are 8 or 9 "cannot finds" these are all down to code being moved, or changes in the code.
These are best installed by hand.

The other thing to consider with MODs, is to think "Do I really need it" So often MODs are installed then rarely used.
Just remember when there is an upgrade to the core, there is an odd chance MODS will stop working,and until there is an upgrade to the MOD, it wont alter.
 
It is actually full quick reply mod which gives more options, not just a single text field and a submit button.

Also, I have stroked the links. I suggest you to Google the latest versions or find them on phpbb.com.
 
Thanks for the list,i go through each mods but none of them are for 3.0.10 except resizer.I hope they will be updated to 3.1.

A few of these are now included in the latest version download, but are not included in the updates.

For more uptodate versions of some MODs like Ultimate Points, Chat, and the User Flags it's best to go to R Mcgrirrers forum, where you can also get full support.

Very nice list, But excuse me for saying this, but I DOn't recomand AutoMod, last time i tried using it in my forum Cs it got totally ruined.
I'm not against this Mod, but watch out for any risks. For every phpBB User i recomand to make a "Test Board", so you can make your experiments there, ruining a "Test Board" is much safer than ruining a live board using Automod.
 
I dont use phpbb anymore since i realized mybb has 1 click mod install. 😛
 
good thread. ReIMG Image Resizer is a must. i cant believe its not integrated...

Very useful for my newly created forum on technology, have been wondering on how to introduce advertisement when the right time comes but now I known more than adding ads but also other useful information.
