Okay, well I have been making multiple attempts at forum softwares for the past year or two on and off.
I have final reached a decent looking result, although it's no where near complete.

ONLY THE INDEX PAGE WORKS.

It's a community driven project, so I want to to be what the users want it to be.
So, what do you want to see in a forum software.

What I currently have:
- Simple CSS System (No Templates, you have to edit the index, which is pretty much just variables)
- It's split into variable declarations and a 3 part display system. (Language and function files, with a Header, Index, and Footer system)
- A default looking index, I need ideas to make it look unique.
- Super fast and light weight system. Around 15 files in all currently.
- Small database layout, no un-needed junk, if you need more, you can add yourself, or try to find a plugin.
- NO ACP YET, still working on that.
- Light weight default skin and theme.

It seems like the forums aren't connected to a mysql database. I like the design though.

They are....
Read the whole post.
I haven't done topic views yet.
So when you click it you get an error.
If they weren't connected the navigation wouldn't work, the title wouldn't show up, and the categories wouldn't appear lol.

No I meant like the when you click a forum. Its saying its not connected

That is not what that error means. It means that it is getting blocked by something. It is connected just the connection is blocked.

I like the look of it. I wish I could navigate a little bit more though to test how fast it is.

I'll finish up a bit more tonight.
And that error is a host error. The hosts default 404's are messed up.

But I have been developing on and off, as well as every once and a while I am not satisfied and end up starting over.

The first thing you should do is validate your html.

You have 8 errors.

Second the thead is a bit to big imo,make it about 10 px smaller.
