Littering

I was walking down the side-walk earlier and I noticed underwear, beer bottles, lighters, etc. strewn all over it. What's with these people, you don't see me tossing random things all over the place x.x

I would hate to be the one who has to clean up those thongs, who knows where they've been.

We have a name for people like that here in the UK... "dumb dumpers".

Wth? That's disgusting. I'm from a place where littering like that is not common at all. Cigarette butts are our biggest problem.

We have that problem in our work parking lot. It’s like every single person who comes through dumps a whole ash tray out.

In many cases they make criminals (drunk driving, minor crimes) clean it up. So who has been on cleaning routes?

The worst part about littering is that there are bins everywhere, around every corner, around every turn, would it cost people to just walk over to a bin and throw the things in? Are their poor knees going to collapse, if they have to walk over a few metres?

In many cases they make criminals (drunk driving, minor crimes) clean it up. So who has been on cleaning routes?

They probably do make them do it as part of a community service thing, but more often than not, it's probably really poorly paid staff.

If it was a porta potty I wouldn’t mind as much but this is like a whole toilet. There is trash pickup down the rosd on both ends too but right where I live (I have no neighbors) it stops right in the middle and that’s where everyone throws stuff. They actually mowed the grass down my road today and it got waaaaay worse because it must have been buried into the grass until then.

That's one reason why i hate cigarettes so much, they also kill any grass they land on.

Yeah there are few people worse than litterers. I once saw someone toss a drink out a bus door. The drink was full of course and exploded all over the side walk, then was ignore. Some people are just... ignorant.
