Ok so this is really annoying me. My general forum is starting to annoy me - www.anythingforum.co.uk, i'm currently with JustHost.
How do i set ranks or groups or whatever so that members automatically enter certain groups/ranks at certain post amounts?

Seriously don't know how to do it 😛

Thanks
swood

Ain't been on the phpBB adminCP on ages, but go to groups>groups permission/manage ranks then you should see something like group ranks and then some boxes and if you tick non-special or somewhat a number field will show up.

Thank you so much Lee +rep. I've been fiddling with the settings for ages trying to find it and i can't believe all i had to do was that.
Do you or anyone else know how i can set permissions for those ranks? I'm only able to set permissions for groups, but i'm not able to set post minimums for groups.

Basically i have set a rank and called it Newbie. Members will be in that rank until they reach 5 or more posts. I want to add permissions to that rank so that i have to approve their posts first. But i don't see how to add permissions to ranks only groups

Thanks
swood

I don't think you can do post minimums for groups. But I don't know because I've never really had to do that before, so I honestly don't know.

Well, I don't know if that's a sure thing, so that one I'm not sure on. I know there's a way you can do minimum posts for forums or whatever, like if you have an advertisement section, but otherwise, I don't really see any other option. There might be a way you can do group permissions, but again I'm not sure how that's done.
