LiveTechBB merge with Asperger's Network

I am sure a lot of members here are aware that I have acquired Live Tech BB - I have been forced to merge it with Asperger's Network.

Over the last 24 hours I have completed the merge of the Live Tech BB members and posts. This has happened due to the redevelopment of the Asperger's Network site - I can't sustain another site with H4P and AN.

This isn't all bad - Asperger's Network, while it's main aim is Autism Site focuses on a range of different topics and would like people, whether autistic or not, to be a part of it.

Spam accounts have been deleted, also. The stats you see in the footer are the real stats, not some made up ones with hidden posts ('Cept the mod forum and developer forum, so give or take ~20 posts).

In what way were you "forced"?

The two sites were on completely different topics, it seems a strange decision to merge them. Plus the LiveTechBb site looked great and was on an excellent domain, so it seems a shame to have lost all that.

If you're interested in selling the LiveTechBB domain and site (without the DB) please do feel free to let me know.

Thanks for the concern - I addressed the 'forced' part in my original post - I do not have the time to effectively manage both communities, and as a result both communities were dying a slow death.

For a while now I have been looking into ways to expand the Asperger's network site. While I only partially agree on your point on them being on 2 different topics (We had a computer section already, and I don't feel a webmaster forum is relavent when there are countless boards in their own dedicated forum here anyway, what makes us different?)

Whether or not it seems a shame, keep In mind the present frontend is temporary, and in no way does it reflect what 2.0 will look like.

The site and domain will not be sold. I'm putting together a plan for it too - All in good time.

As soon as I heard about it being sold the thought did cross my mind. But out of fairness I gave running the site a shot before I copied the DB.

I'm not sure why you felt the need to state the above in this thread, considering that it didn't apply to this thread. In other words when you bought the site about a week ago, you didn't actually "have a plan" or at least not a plan that you stuck to and implemented.
