My school was in lockdown mode today, it was pretty awesome, heaps of police and armed forces everywhere. The gun ended up being a fake one.

You guys ever had lockdown?

Hmm... my school has never been on lockdown, but this reminds me of a story. :lol:

I once accidentally carried cigarettes into school. It's a long story. :lol: Don't worry, though. I'm not a smoker. 😛 My mum is.

Yep, had plenty of lockdowns and even more so, bomb threats. I always enjoyed them because they made the day go faster. Out of dozens of times, only once was the threat real. A kid brought a gun to school. School was pretty much released after that.

Ahhhh! High School!! We had a lockdown in my sohpmore(2nd) year because they found unidentified *substance* lol it just happened to be a delivery for the chemistry department. But it was cool, 5 hours of locked doors, firetrucks, cops OHYEAA

Been through more lock downs than I can count. The ones that would last for several hours would get pretty boring and going to the bathroom in a bucket in the corner is no fun (because they wont let you out of the room, even for that in an emergency / dangerous situation)

In all the time I was in school this never happened but I do hear of it in schools now, I think it can be scary for the children though

We have a lockdown drill every month... as if we can't remember what to do, but we've never actually had to go on lockdown for real. Other schools in the area have, like when there's a felon on the run or something like that.

A lockdown like that really doesn't sound awesome to me. It could have been a serious situation.

My school has been evacuated several times for bomb threats 😛

We have a bomb threat everywhere, it's pretty much an annual event, but we just have tons of cops and dogs in the building and no one can carry any type of bag or coat with them. We don't evacuate, otherwise we'd have a lot more threats.

I go to a VERY small school, so they don't happen very often. That's why they make us evacuate. But we do get to go home when a bomb threat is made!

I go to a small school too. If we got to go home every time one was made, we'd have one every week just so we could go home.

Lol, that's weird. We only get 1 maybe once a year, or once every couple years.

Not much going on here lol, although last year the SRO at the middle school in my town got stabbed by some 7th grader who tried to burn the school down or something. Stupid kid tried to be a victim claiming it was because of bullying - more like he's just a scumbag lol.

I wouldn't consider a lockdown "awesome." One of my best friends went to high school in the town adjacent to Chardon, OH where a student brought a gun into school and killed three students. Also I go to a school where we've had at least one "close call" recently with somebody mis-identifying something as a gun. It's better to put a campus on lock down than to assume something is nothing and have extra casualties.
