Lol one of my football coaches took us down the road, he said "cmon im gonna get you guys ice cream", then instead he had us running up and down a huge hill.

In that case I hope you were joking when you called him a "jerk". Volunteer coaches do great work and make a valuable contribution to the lives of very many people. That's not to say that there are no bad ones.

That is the type of coach you actually want to have, you want a coach that wants the best for you and wants to see you excel. Really he shouldn't need to lure you into doing things, you should do as he asks straight away if you really want to become good at football. Take it from someone thats been there and had it pay off 😉

That's a bit harsh Citricsquid. A coach who gives his time freely to coach a football or other sports team is doing the players a favour, not the other way round.
