@dWhite
pardon the language, but hell no. I'd never risk getting banned from Google for something like that, it's pointless and it always catches up to you at some point. I've had the domain sitting empty for the past month or so, and I bough text links on other PR3 sites (Shotgun's actually) which may have helped.
Yup, it's easily possible to get PR3 in a month. 🙂 If you get alot of high PR backlinks right before an update, the PR will increase during the update.
To be honest, for a tiny back link, I would expect something along the lines of permament. And, what is the cost for what FP got? Or was that just a friendly gesture.
If anything, I'd be willing to pay for a permamanet link at a reasonable price. I'm not in this for advertising, but just to build my anchor text.
Plus, I'm always willing to add yours to my index as well; if the deal seems good.
@hcfwesker
I don't want to sell any permanent links on it yet, as i'm unsure how it'll do in the long run. It'd be silly to sell a permanent link for $2 on a blog that ends up being a PR6 or something. Not saying it will, but I rather just do it monthly until I figure out what's going to happen with it long term 🙂
The one on there for FP is just my way of supporting a site I love. I advertise here, so I thought i'd return the favor.
That's understandible. But, i wasn't gonna offer just $2 for a permament link 😛
I just don't have time to keep up with monthly links, and resubmitting, which is why i just like to go the permament route, so i know it's there, and not have to worry about it 😀
Why dont set a price per PR ranking, and then give 1 week notice after it has gone up a PR rating, and then if they dont reply or dont want to pay that much remove the link
@hcfwesker
Completely understandable lol. The other reason I don't want to yet is that i'm looking into using a advertising company to see how much they could bring out of it. The only thing is, they'd want text links to be a part of their program :\
@The Pimped Papaya
Too darn confusing for my taste lol, plus then people won't want to keep paying more (where as monthly your good all month long without having to pay more).
