I'm looking at buying an tablet, so that I can keep on doing what I do online like running my forum and being apart of the FP community, I'm moving away to another Country and I can't curry or use my 3kg heavy Laptop. I'm going to spend around a month going to places before I fly over and rent for 6 months while I look for an house to buy.

So fair I like the Asus models, They are

Asus T300FA
Asus TP200SA

It can't be anymore then $600 mark.

My sister has one of these: http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/galaxy ... 817RZKAUSC and it seems to work pretty well. If you're willing to spend $600, I'd personally recommend a low-end laptop (HP is a good value brand). Some tablets can't install the needed extensions and updates needed to run a forum; so, make sure the one you decide to go with is capable of downloading and installing everything properly.

Thanks for the feedback, What ever I choice I be getting it from http://www.centrecom.com.au/Sales/Category/99 since they are very helpful in support and fast shipping and cheaper then other online stores

My friend has the Asus T300FA and he said it was quite good. I am not sure about the Asus TP200SA though. However, I tried going on forums using my iPad before and I have to say that it is a lot harder than a laptop. You just can't type as fast and the screen is kind of small so I would recommend getting a laptop. I have been using HP laptops and they have been very good and I am sure you can get one for $600.

we already own two laptops, 17.1 gaming laptop worth $3k and 15inch which is old and slow and isn't mine 😛

I need something that I can travel around with, specially on plane. I be moving around allot and skyping and maybe taking photos, plus I be doing allot of basic administration work with maybe a forum upgrade. And internet staff like emails search for locations, posting of course with FP and keeping things alive at least.

Once I have moved into a house.. I be back on my gaming laptop.

Oh.. And I do have a smartphone that I can use, however it's worse since the screen is like 5inch. Tablets that are bigger than 8.1 will support for my community regarding editing CSS, just good apps I need. However with me moving around I probably won't have any time

I bought someone a tablet recently and he doesn't even use it. Waste of money. 😛

 what was it?

I'm a big fan of my iPad Mini. Also, you may want to consider a more portable laptop,or a two-in-one laptop. My old Macbook air was almost as light as a tablet, but still had all of the features of a laptop. Macbooks are a bit expensive though, but there are a good number of Windows machines that are much cheaper, but still extremely light.

Anyway, if you do want a tablet, I'd suggest an iPad.

I'm looking for Windows, and iPad are expensive.

I don't like tablets at all. They're essentially massive smartphones that you can't call from.

Why not get a netbook?

Looked up reviews of both the models you identified in original post - looks like the TP200SA looks to be better...

I got a Nvidia Shield tablet for Christmas, and it works pretty good as an Android tablet.

Looking at Windows, I'm going to use it till that day comes when I have moved into my new home with my desktop set up, and then the Tablet is going to be used for teaching my family members. And rather have Windows from there requests.

If I got it myself, Would be an different matter
