Hey guys, I need some help.

Basically what I want to do it make a free, simple website. Not a forum, but I site where I can put links, and mainly upload images for graphics etc.

I want to be able to have my own TLD, but not pay for hosting. Could anyone direct me to a site where I can do this please?

I used http://mezoka.com/ about a year ago. No issues when I used them, not sure if they're still good. No ads on the pages so you don't have to worry about that, but they do have a 1200 MB space limit.

Can I upload files but not have to show them? So just a link to the image rather than them displayed on a page?

You can also try uCoz
http://www.ucoz.com/

I like it because it gives you coding capabilities with the templates so you truly can customize it. But it's more complex than, say Webs or Weebly.

Pretty much as long as you have a 'front page' you can do whatever you want. I uploaded files and used them wherever, my site only got deleted because I stopped using it. So pretty much as long as you give it a few views a month whatever is there, will stay there.

I've had a look through these, but they are all really expensive to get a domain. Are there any where the domain is standard registration price? Or could I register a domain and attach it to a site?

no there are no extra costs. You can also buy it through uCoz but it costs around 15 dollars rather than the standard 10 found through most providers.

I looked and you have to pay monthly fees...

I just attached a domain to my website with no extra fees so i don't know what you are talking about. uCoz has a premium service, that's the only thing that costs monthly.
