Would you rather lose all of your old memories, or never be able to make new ones?

I personally would rather keep my older memories, so that life wouldn't be so unpredictable in my day to day choices that I wouldn't remember making.

Lose all my old. I can't miss what I don't know and not making new ones dounds like you would forever wake up not understanding what's going on.

I always remember childhood memories, that is the best time. At the moment, I also try to create new memories, with new friends if possible

Losing your memory is the effect of Alzhymer's disease. One of our neighbors is afflicted with that mind disease that he is losing his memory. Another person with the same problem is my husband's cousin who is not even a senior yet. He doesn't recognize us anymore and soon, according to the doctors, he would forget his motoer skills. It's such a cruel disease.

Usually, people make no new memories but remember old ones, but even forgetting family and friends is terrible beyond comprehension.

I'd rather have my old memories than create new ones if I had to be relegated to such a barbaric choice - due to being under duress by an evil fascist government or inhuman ethereal being.

Scientifically speaking, the brain makes less of certain chemicals at an old age - causing memory loss. Supposedly medication has been made to stop or reduce the problem.

Alzheimer's is what it's called when that process kicks into hyper-drive. The person afflicted can't remember much of anything, including their own relatives. It's a very sad state of affairs and they've been looking for a full cure for years.

Definitely lose all my old ones.
Progress is not possible without the acquisition of new memory (an unproven assumption here - but I hold strong by it for now).
More so, I don't believe my memories will stay after I die anyway (that is not to say I don't believe in an afterlife - I do, but I don't believe that my earthly memories are part of it).

Either way, I'd go with lose all my old ones 😀
