As I watched the movies, I was in awe in how they could film the three movies, with such a small budget, considering how much effort they put into everything. What do you think they could have done better with the movies, compared to what is in the books?
Do you think that the books are difficult to read? And what have you learned in the books, that the movies did not cover?
I never really read the books - I have them but just never did for some reason. I love the movies though it's amazing what all they got done in the first ones!
I haven't gotten around to reading the books, however I have seen the movies multiple times. Excellent films. The Two Towers is my favorite LOTR movie.
I tried the books recently but didn't get past Tom Bombadil. 😛 It's a little bit hard to get past the fact that the plot and setting feel so unoriginal, when the fact is actually that LOTR was copied by other works, not the other way around. I may give the movies another try though sometime, though. I haven't seen them in a long time.
