Once you hit a high post count at a forum you once loved and liked. Have you ever hit a brick wall where you just can't find enough incentive to keep posting?

I think burn out is really a thing!!

I have no idea how to get past it unless it's to take a hiatus for a while and then return to see how you feel about the place.

Posting can burn anyone out. All you have to do is ask me and I can say that I burn myself each week of the day 😛

What's harder about posting more than anything is to be able to come up with threads ideas to able to start a good conversation. Also what can slow down at times if you are not good at spelling and grammar can be hurtful at times. As long as I keep up my daily postings on many sites that I do exchanges or paid content for then I'm happy. If I slack off or had a busy day then when another new day comes around, I'm just as flip flapped up thinking about it.

I've done this in the past. It can be difficult to come up with new content sometimes, taking a break can definitely help prevent burn out. Of course I don't recommend taking too long of a break, because then you might never come back. 😛 I find that it's easy to do this if your forum is based around a specific topic, especially if it's a community built around a tv series that got canceled. It can be difficult to get new members to engage with your content at that point.

Burn out can happen with anything if you keep at something for too long.

I get burnt out as I often don't take time to relax and stop doing stuff I love because it's addicting.

I only post if I have something to say, I've never been one to post just for the sake of it. I'm also legendary for hardly ever starting new threads even on my own forums. One day, when I'm dead and gone, historians will probably speculate and write learned papers on the subject but I'll be damned if I know why :joyful:

I can attest to burn-out! It's always a challenge trying to come up with new ideas. Fortunately, my mind tends to work overtime lol If I read or watch something, even talking to my husband & parents, gives me ideas.

This has happened to me a couple of times, and I had to take a break.

I'm lucky to be a pretty creative person. I can repurpose content in a way that doesn't look like the previous posts. However, sometimes it is a good thing to sit back and take a break and just post to interact with friends.

Don't burn yourself out.
