Does anyone else here have a personal goal of losing weight? My husband and I would like to have another baby but I know that I need to lose some of the extra weight because putting on even more will not be good for my heart. I've been doing Intermittent Fasting. When I'm eating my meals I use a smaller dinner plate instead of the 10" ones. I also try to focus on drinking a lot of water through out the day at least a glass every other hour.

I wouldn’t mind shaving off a little bit of weight. I’m not overweight or anything, but I’ve gained weight over these last couple years, and I worry about my metabolism continuing to slow down. It could be a slippery slope, especially since I have a terrible diet consisting of soda, alcohol, and more alcohol.

At some point, I will have to get serious and start paying attention to my health.

I wouldn’t mind shaving off about 20 or so myself, with spring on its way walking the dog will help for sure.

Yeah, I've been trying to lose weight recently, lost a few pounds, but need to lose more. Being a shut-in doesn't help 😀.

I lived most of my life with a bad thyroid and then when there was a cancerous nodule on it, that thyroid came out! Now I'm on thyroid hormones and I found that I can actually eat food and not gain weight so I've spent the last 4 years totally enjoying ALL THE FOOD!! 😀 I haven't gained weight and have found that I'm thinner than I was when my cancer journey began.

But to answer the question, I want to lose more weight, it's just that I'm afraid of regulating my thyroid hormone because if I lose 5 pounds my body really is sensitive to it. My doctor doesn't regulate based on how I feel which frustrates me.

I tend to lose more weight when the weather is nicer and I can get out and hike more so I'm looking forward to spring and summer.

Gosh that must have been tough but in the end great that you now don't need to watch what you eat?

It's been amazing! I can eat pizza and ice cream without having to think about how many hours I need to work out to not gain pounds. I walk 10,000 steps a day and don't do the hard workouts I used to do like P90X and cycling. Just walking and having the thyroid hormone lets me eat a lot of food. Eventually I have to come to terms with the fact I'd feel better with 20 pounds less though LOL

I do not even know how much I weigh anyway XD, MAybe 59KG last time I check myself (not in a very dirty way, not what you might be thinking about) and maybe I need to lose even more. I have no bodyweight or fat on me. In fact no damn muscles. flap

I don't want to lose "weight." But I do want to lose my fat gut. I'm trying to exercise, but the motivation just isn't there.

I've reached an age (62) where I found losing weight really hard. In desperation and after a lot of research I decided to prostrate myself on the alter of veganism and give up all meat and dairy products 😱

I did the research, planned a start date (Jan 1st obviously 😀) and it's proved to be surprisingly effective, 21 pounds lost in two months with little effort. I never feel hungry and I've been able to drop my usual 10K steps to lazy 5K a day. The first week did have a rather profound effect on my digestive system :poop: but it soon settled after that.

Two things to remember if you think this might work for you. Draw up a plan for a week to ten days worth of meals before you start. Search out recipes and list/buy ingredients for three meals a day. Do the research on supplements for vegans, especially if you are planning to conceive 🙂

I'd also consider buying a Fitbit or something similar. It'll help with you to monitor and achieve your step count and weight goals.

Same here. I can eat whatever I want and I won't bloat up to the size of a beached whale.

A lot of people are better looking as chubby. Oh, please, lol, don't put me with the personal pronoun crowd.

The truth about things is not at the extreme on many things.

Floppy in my old age, need to loose more

Still a strict vegan (meat is murder  ... just kidding), still losing weight.

Interestingly I don't particularly miss meat and I used to have it with each meal. I've also discovered I'm lactose intolerant, something that's been suggested to me for many years but I chose to ignore.
