Has anyone lucid dreamed before? Lucid dreaming is when, whilst in your dream, you realise (through things like reality checks) that you're dreaming and the moment you realise, you gain full control of your dream and can do anything from flying and teleporting to bending an entire street like on Inception. I'm currently learning how to do this and can't wait till I finally do it.

I've read so much about it, but been unable to do it. I've heard that when people do it, it's a complete surprise to them. Once you get it one time though, it's cool to be able to repeat it and actually control it.

Do you have any guides you've been trying to follow?

I have been partially there. I mean I can realize sometimes something is a dream, but I am for now unable to alter much on my own or call things on my own.

I sometime have dreams that end with me trying to say something and having my throat closed. It used to be scary as I thought I was having trouble breathing but now I think it is just because you are gaining conscious before your body stops being naturally paralyzed so you don't act your dreams. It is frustrating.

Not all the times I have that throat scare are because of lucid dreams, but I think most if not all of my lucid dreams end like that.

Yeah this is a pretty good website for guide and tips - http://www.world-of-lucid-dreaming.com/

I've had lucid dreams a few times in the past and really enjoyed them. It's a bit like entering a magical world where you can make anything the way you want it to be and do anything you want. Lucid dreams just happened to me, I didn't do anything deliberate to make them happen. I don't know what to do, to have lucid dreams, but I would like to have them again.

You got it Fergal. The world is yours to do what you want. I really want one!

I've downloaded an app now to induce it at the optimal time in my sleep during my REM phase.

I really wish i could this but i dont know why but i cant it just never works for me:/ i keep trying and trying maybe ill get it one day.

One suggestion I heard before for doing it, was to ask yourself regularly "am I dreaming?" If you ask yourself this a lot when you are awake, you will eventually begin to ask yourself the same question when you are dreaming and when you do you will be able to lucid dream. I haven't tried it myself, so I don't know if it works or not.

I thought this was just normal dreaming? I usually can control most of my dreams and I usually prevent things from happening too, like if I watched a death film I usually prevent things from happening to the main characters. Maybe I just dream weird.

I do find that sometimes when I try to change things that it just doesn't work and everything just seems to spin around.

Is this lucid dreaming or am I just crazy? 😛

Sounds interesting Cloverfield, how does it work?
Plays an audio cue each time you enter REM mode. The more it does this the more your brain will realise it only does this during a dream and should incorporate into your dream. But yes, you must reality check all the time, asking yourself if you're dreaming and proving that you're not.

Man, I wish I could have this.
Sadly, I don't, or I'm not aware of it at all.
I gotta try it someday. But I dunno hwo to try it haha
