Seeing as LulzSec have said they have ended their reign of terror, I doubt they really give a crap that they were hacked.

If their personal info was released they would spend up to 60 years in an American jail for Dossing the CIA etc; So yes, they would mind.
They would also lose their rights to use any electronic device that can access the internet.

Lol Topairy the main face behind Lulzsec has been arrested, quite a few days ago. Lulzsec is now gone/disbanded as the others fear being arrested.

It is anonymous that are threatening to hack Facebook on November the 5th, not all of them just a select group.

Well if they do hack facebook then that would mean millions of people are going to have their personal information at risk of being stolen. It's kind of stupid that Anonymous is doing this type of stuff. I feel as if a bunch of these hackers are little kids who are teased and bullied on a daily basis, so they take out their anger at home on the internet by hacking various websites.

We will have to wait and see if it actually happens, Facebook won't just back into a corner and let them hack it. They will be fully aware of the threats and will most certainly plan ahead.

Well if they do succeed in hacking facebook or even attempting to. There are going to be some people going to jail. I guarantee a couple of the hackers will be caught because facebook is a multimillion dollar organization that won't stand idly by while hackers threaten their servers.

I agree noone can hack FB Becuase with all that money you can buy better secuity

Well you would think the same thing about Sony and Sega, but they were hacked.

No site is un-hackable. Only because they have all that money, doesn't mean that they spend more on security then other sites that may not make as much profit as them.

Facebook are now paying people for finding security issues with their site - http://www.pcworld.com/businesscenter/a ... _bugs.html

Yea, saw this on the news. If you hack it and tell them, you get $500.

It was already reported that Facebook was hacked last night for fun and the exploit was posted online.

WTH lol Why is Facebook letting users hack them for fun just to find security flaws?

To be able to fix the security flaws to secure the site more.

Which means I can let users attack my site to look for secuity flaws?

Well yes as long as they tell you about them and not the general public.

By offering $500 for each flaw they find Facebook can secure vulnerabilities before the 'bad hackers' find them and maliciously exploit them.

That's actually a really good idea..

It's proper term is "penetration testing" and is a wide use within the security industry.

I can supply you with contact information for known penetration testers.

Agreed. Take forums in general as an example. Even if you were on a paid software like IPB, Xenforo, or Vbulletin, you could purchase all the best plugins they have to offer to stop hackers and things like that, but those kinds of things only keep hackers away for so long. So even if you have the toughest security measures in place possible, you will always find a handful of people who really know their stuff and will still be able to get in one way or the other.
