Description: Lytherus Forums is a newly opened forum that launched on September 19th. In the first two days, we have had over one hundred members register and had over three thousand posts. We're hoping to continue the trend of activity! Lytherus Forums is the official message board of Lytherus.com, a large media and entertainment news site. It is the successor to Inheritance Forums, the largest Inheritance Cycle boards on the web, and remains connected to Shur'tugal.com, the official fansite of the Inheritance Cycle.

At Lytherus Forums, we offer areas to talk about all of your entertainment interests. If you want to talk about the latest episode of a show you enjoy, discuss rumors about the development of a new video game, tell others what you thought about a movie, or go over the fine points of your favorite book series, then our forums are more than ready to accommodate you.

Lytherus Forums doesn’t stop at just entertainment and media-based discussion. We also offer potential members a wide variety of areas to enjoy, including an entire section of the board devoted to the creative arts. Are you an artist? We welcome you to come and show off your drawings or other artwork! If you’re more of a writer, you can get feedback on your fanfiction, poetry, or original writing in our Writers’ Hangout, or you could even try your hand at a writing-based Role Playing Game in the RPG forums. If you have an interest in talking about more general topics, there is even an area aimed at the discussion of everything from sports, to music, to political policies and current events!

As the Head Administrator of Lytherus Forums, I welcome you to come and join our community. Registration is easy, quick, and free, and once you have an account you’ll have access to a whole host of features and can get right to posting. So hurry and check us out at http://lytherus.com/forums/.

Enjoy the forums!

I have moved your thread! Looking great, best of luck with it. 🙂

Just curious why the old Shur'tugal Forum was closed? Is it because Inheritance Cycle had ended? Just thought it was a shame to had to restart just because of that.

Thank you!

No, Inheritance Forums closing actually wasn't planned at all. We had a server crash, and it pretty much sent us back to the stone age. All three of the hosted sites - Shur'tugal, Lytherus, and Inheritance Forums - went down temporarily but the forums stayed down. The databases were all lost and the server was pretty screwy there for a while, so it took us a while to get everything back in order. Since we'd lost everything, we just went ahead and started anew with Lytherus Forums. We do still have an area on the boards for Inheritance Cycle discussion for the people that come over from Shur'tugal or otherwise want to discuss it, though.

I see. That is very unfortunate. I still remember the days when I lurked around the forum for news about the Cycle, haha. At least it's down when the series had ended; otherwise it would really hurt the community.

Yeah, I see you still have a section dedicated to the Cycle and Paolini's works. Best of luck with, especially with the possibility of Book 5 coming around. 😉

It seems 1000ish posts are missing. Do you have hidden sections?

I wouldn't have expected to run into an IFer (well, IF lurker) here. I didn't think our reach was that wide. I don't think it was particularly helpful for the community for it go down at any time, but it was certainly better after the end than, say, right when Eldest came out.

And thanks, again.

Yes. I didn't actually think about subtracting that number, though I probably should have.

The site and forum look great, very professionally designed. I also love the domain name. The very best of luck with it.

I've been following Eragon since junior high, way before I knew internet and online communities. It was my first fictional novel, and at that time I borrowed it from a friend before buying a copy myself. XD

Thank you! We've put a lot of work into it. Hopefully it works out.

I first read Eragon forever ago. I can't even remember how old I was, but it was right when it came out. I can remember being amazed at the whole 'kid writer' thing that Paolini had going. The Shur'tugal section on LF has been doing fairly well, really - better than I expected, given that we're more focused on entertainment in general now.

It's not a huge deal as it will appear more natural later on. It just kind of caught my eye. Otherwise nice forums, and I may check them out just to discuss Algalaeisa. 😀

We would be happy to have you, of course. You would need to be prepared to debate some of the finer points, as we have accrued a number of anti-Cycle members who post their critiques.
