Mac vs PC

If given a choice, I may choose the Mac not really for its class but of its speed in operation. From what I understand, the Mac notebook is designed for graphics and part of the OS is hard wired so it is much faster than the PC with its OS in virtual mode. However, with reality in place, I cannot afford a Mac because it is almost double the cost of a moderate PC. So maybe my budget is designed for a PC only. And even in the office, my official computer is a laptop that is running on Windows.

I've never been a fan of Mac, just a personal preference. My brother has had several over the last six or seven years and they've simply never appealed to me. The same could be said for the iPhone.
