Within the next year (probably this summer) I need to invest in a new laptop. I'm completely torn though. A lot of my friends have Macbooks and love everything about them. But I also have a lot of friends with HP's and love them too. I feel like a child with divorced parents! Completely stuck in the middle. I don't know what to get. 🙁 Price is not an issue. I'll be using it for writing, editing photos, working on my websites, and probably doing some bookwork. What do you guys think I should get?

If ur going to use it for basic school stuff go with the MacBook IMHO. I don't have tk go though this 😀 i now I'm not getting any laptops from apple because I want to game on my laptops 😉. But I will get a mac for college ... Lol

MacBook Pro definitely. It has an incredible Battery life, and the parts are more reliable. Also, Mac is a better operating system than Windows in most cases.

Mac is a FAILURE.

Buy Asus. Or Intel. Maybe Dell.

But not HP (Highest rate of fatal errors), "Best Buy", or Toshiba...my Toshiba was PURE EVIL.

I have never heard of Asus. But I have heard Toshiba has had a lot of problems. I never knew that HP had the highest rate of fatal errors though either. But I have 2 Dells now and I keep having problems with them.

Unless you want to game, I would go for the Mac. It is a lot more reliable than Windows and I have heard poor things about HP.

Also, you can always Boot Camp or something on your Mac so you can run Windows applications (including games) if you need something that isn't available on Mac.

Get a Mac. if you have the money, get the mac. then if you ever want to game, just get a copy of windows and install it with boot camp on your mac so then you have mac and windows in one 😀

Or if he wants to game he can get cider 😉.

Don't get a Mac. Do you know how many conversion programs you need to get to play like games and using some programs?

I've got a HP, and no problem whatsoever. Or maybe its because they make good ones here in Australia 😛

You just need one, and it's only for the games that don't have a Mac version.
