I just don't see the point in people keep making forum promotion sites. There's so many around - it's going to be hard to get members. You have forumpromotion which IMO has done very well and I'm sure it will be even better success in the future - it definitely deserves it especially since Fowler and EFC2007 have put in so much work!
IMO you should do a forum which you like. I own a computer forumz site - the reason I created it is because I love computers and I love helping people - and I'm known on half the computer forums sites out there - but not using the name I have here.
Fair enough. I do respect you people who pay for hosting for sites like this - because I don't think I could. My site has to be some I'm very interested in..
Thanks for the replies!
As I said before, I do know it is just another promotion forum. I made it because I see a lot of forums being made, with next to no members or posts. As NASCARFAN said, the more the merrier. I agree with this to some point. The Promotion forums that have had a lot of work put into them should get the credit, not the ones that have little more than a few hours. There are some VERY good promotion forums out there, including FP. When a new promotion forum is made people often think of it as "Another Promo Forum". Later on they find them selfs advertising on that very forum that they thought would not succeed, and grow from their post at that promotion site. When I made this promotion site I knew I needed to put large amounts of time into it, and I did put very much time into it. I worked on it day in and day out. Unfortunately, it has not taken off as I had expected. Most people think their forum will get tons of members it's first day. I knew mine would not take off in it's first few days. It takes tons of advertising for your site to get known, then for people to actually join it. At one point I had about 11 members and no new posts in a week or so, and I was about to quit, but something held me back from it. I gave it some more time. I gained a few more members and more posts. My point being, promotion forums are for promotion. Even if it is members joining, post their forum, and leave. Members come and go, some stay, some don't. When you make a promotion forum you need to expect this. I know I expected it would not be very active because of the larger forums such as FP.
