Before we get start, let me tell you a little bit about MAG, MAG means Massive Action Game. This game is a multiplayer-only first-person shooter video game developed by Zipper Interactive for the PlayStation 3. The game was released in North America on January 26, 2010. The game uses a new server architecture to support online battles with up to 256 players, with users divided into eight-player squads, with four squads forming a platoon, and four platoons forming a company. Now this game is very fun and addictive, but it does have its drawl backs.

This game has graphics that I find good for a 256 player game but that is no where near to what makes this game a great game. This game, like I told you above, supports a battle with up to 256 players. Now what makes this great is that it is a hard game to play, I don’t know about you but I personally love a challenge. This game falls no where near short of giving its players a challenge. Now you might say, that is just to many players but in this game it really is not. This game has huge maps that makes it seem like there’s not 256 players in the room. Now don’t get me wrong, you will have moments where you can tell that there are 256 players in that match. Another great thing about this game is that it is half impossible for players to camp, the maps were designed so that there is minimum places to camp, and to get to them places where you can camp is like going through hell. I find that to be a great feature, I mean who wants to die by a person who is in a spot where you can’t really kill them? I know I don’t. MAG has four different game modes and a training mode. The training mode is very basic and takes you through movement with the left stick, toggling ducking and crawling with Triangle, and destroying/capturing objectives and restocking your equipment at specific points with Circle. They also take you through the process of repairing devices with the repair tool, and have you perform some basic target practice with your primary and secondary weapons, and grenades. Now there are so many good features of this game, I could list them for days!

With the good, always comes the bad. In MAG, there are what I guess you could call groups, one of them is called S.V.E.R. Now I personally fear, there is an imbalance in the strength of the S.V.E.R gear, although extremely slight, gives them an edge. Due to their dominance and Edge, players are always switching over to S.V.E.R. Now that stinks, it almost like everyone is a S.V.E.R. S.V.E.R is slowly turning into an unbeatable force. Now I hope they find a way to fix this, but as of now, S.V.E.R generally dominates over all others.
MAG PMC (Private Military Company)
MAG also has some bad mixed in with the good. Early I was talking about there training mode, which has a couple of problems, they don’t teach you how to enter or exit/pilot vehicles, or man mounted guns. That’s the only down side I see to there training mode. I also see where problems can come from the mass amount of players, I have played some games where I seem to just die all the time, Now its not a complaint for me, because whether my records good or bad I don’t really care I want to have a fun challenge over all. The reason I state it as a problem is because it does kind of get annoying after a while.

Over all, I see this as a great game, and for around $30 I feel this is another game with an unbeatable price. That is why this game has made it onto my short list of favourite games.
The MAG fans will be happy with this one, over all I gave this game a 4.5 out of 5
