Signup and make 1 post on http://www.adminforums.org and i will give you 20fp, add an avatar and i will give you an extra 10fp.

If your already a member you cant do this 🙂

I made a post and I used an avatar as well as signature.

Also, I bookmarked your forum and though I may not be insanely active I know I'll be stopping in time to time. It just feels so fluid and reactive compared to other forums on the web.

Very, very nice.

Paid you double because of the well thought out introduction 🙂 And thats XenForo for you 😉

If I had the cash to run something nice like that believe me I would be =P

Maybe in the future you could do it 🙂 it was the best purchase ive made in a very long time, it took me a while to get the cash together but i was chuffed when i did 🙂

Good to know 🙂 How hard would it be to migrate something from phpBB onto that by the way? because by the time I have the cash to it would be a lot to just up and move my members without their posts. I dont' see them being all to thrilled. Also can that system incorporate a points/shop setup?

It's fairly easy to migrate from phpbb to Xf, i went from Vbulletin to it. It was a couple of clicks and it was done with no errors at all, Xf has a bank and points mod also a built in (as standerd) trophy points feature as well as some other perks 🙂

Well that's awesome to know, only issue being that as of current I'm on forumotion and from what I understand they're a real hassle to migrate off of. If I have the money at any point though I may very well end up going with that system. How is the security on it compared to vBulletin or phpBB?

The security is far better than most that i have used, certainly better than vbulletin and phpbb. There has been no reported hackings of forums on xenforo through secruity flaws in the software itself and it does take a little bit of work to extract the database from a forumotion forum using a "crawler" but its something most people will do for a small price. I bought a forum on forumotion a couple of months ago and i managed to pay someone just $5 to extract it for me to phpbb 🙂

Issue is that even though I'm into coding I don't yet know the first thing about databasing or database information (beyond Microsoft Access training from high school) and wouldn't know what to do with the phpbb file anyway xD.

What is the cost of the software?

Its $140, and i think by the time your forum is big enough to be moved you will have learned a few tricks along the way that will make it an easy job. During your early time as a forum owner you will learn the basics of how to use/export/import databases and edit a config file to link it up, its just something you pick up naturally along the way 🙂

Are there any free systems you would recommend ShadyX that include a points system besides forumotion. I've gotten a little frustrated with their limitations, and I've tried tons but can't seem to find anything that suits all of my needs. Stupid cash limitations.

You could try mybb, although you need to install it by hand. If not go with phpbb but get your own hosting so you have more freedom to edit what you like within the forums code and be able to download the forums backup, plus that way you will learn the nesecerry things of owning a forum like the database thing and that. search "byet free hosting" its not on the same level as paid hosting but its free and will help you learn as you explore things, my forum started on byet and it held my forum without any major problems untill around 9,000 posts when we moved to paid.

I've got an avatar and made 20 posts, for a package i did i also made one other post and uploaded an avatar 😀
