After searching for a while, I found that there are no true writing forums, for writers to actually post, and discuss their work. The forums to "Claim" they are writing forums, has one writing section, with the rest being about books.

Cutting to the chase, I am planning on making a forum based on nothing but writing. How to improve, reviews, ect. I am looking for people that would be interested in joining, and possibly be an admin, or moderator, and to basically help get us off our feet. You will need to be a writer, and provide some of your stories, ect.

If you are interested then please comment below, or PM me directly.

Edit--- The site is now up: http://www.Writersdiscussion.info

I would have to agree with you on this and I find the idea of a pure writing forum great, something I would join. What I believe is the cause of writing forums mostly being about books is the fact that most writers don't have the time to sit and post on forums for a longer period of time, what would you do to solve this and engage writers so they can spend some of their valuable time on your forum?

Well, we would have a review section that would benefit them a lot. This section would be where reviewing team would simply read their forum, give them pointers, and point out any grammical errors, ect. This can improve their performance, help them better understand any criteria that they would not be aware of prior ect. This however would cost X amount of money from your Forum Bank, the money you get from posting. So, it would benefit them more to post, and stay active rather than simply posting just their own work.

Other sections will be added to prevent inactivity with members, and help boost up the activity. Such as sections to help member get their writing published, ect.

actually theres the forum called inspiration and psychology of writting, where we can show off our works and stuff, and get users' opinions on them.

A writing forum would be excellent. I see roleplay forums and writing forums that are..once again roleplay, but no true writing forums.

With all the positive response, I am working on it as we speak. Stay tuned, Ill announce it once it is done.

I agree and I'd also join if there was a forum to cater for those who like writing.

There was a website called Hortorian awhile back that was exactly that, only about writing, and letting writers submit their work and get criticism.

Sadly it's not up anymore but it was a great site, I hope yours is successful.

Hortorian was great as was BeCreative its predecessor it's a shame it went down

Only issue I see is people stealing ideas, other than that, good luck with it.

Thank you david, I have finished it, if you wish to check it out 🙂, also, all content is copyright of the original owner. Theirfore if they do steal ideas, they are violating copyright laws

My point was that it's going to be hard to monitor and prevent ideas from being stolen, OR, stolen ideas being posted on your forum. Your members will have that sense of paranoia that ideas will be stolen - not even copyright laws can prevent that from happening. I suggest you ensure members know that their content is visible to the public and ideas can potentially be stolen.

Sounds interesting. I'd be interested in joining and sharing my works. 🙂

I see your writing forum has morphed into a Zombie Discussion board, which is very aweome may I add.

However, I noticed people mentioning Hortorian? The forum promised for its replacement has finally been opened.

Anyway, have you scraped your writing forum idea?
