Making free ads will help?

I am thinking of giving a free ad for a week for the member who writes most posts.
Do you think it is a good technique? Will it help the hype?

Give premium membership away to active members. Maybe if the member is active for a month, give away a free month of premium. Its enough to be seen as a pat on the back for being active on your forum 🙂
