So my city just passed a by-law to make wearing masks mandatory starting on August 1. I have no problem with this myself as I'm an easy going guy and I have already been wearing a mask at my work the last couple of months and I wear masks when I go grocery shopping.
I am sure there are lots of people here that will have a problem with it as we see on the news in some places.

Is it mandatory to wear your masks in your city yet? Are you for or against it?

Here, masks are not mandatory and the authorities are not recommending us to use them. And I'm fine with that.

I’ve had to wear them since February so I’m glad I’m not the only one anymore....

My state has required them for a while. My family came to visit last week and masks weren't mandatory where they live and my dad said he was eager to go back home so he wouldn't have to wear a mask. Now the governor has said everyone needs to wear a mask...my poor dad must be outraged.

I wear them because I don't honestly know if they do good or not but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Here's a mask I made recently and I don't like ear elastics so this one I made a tie around.

Well, haven't had any mandatory stuff yet, but if I want to do stuff in the metro area to the south of us, we are requested (and required by certain stores) to wear masks, as our metro spans past the state border.

I live in a small town where most people are very conservative and uninterested in being told what to do by our government. Masks aren’t required here, and I’d say the vast majority of people don’t wear them just out of spite.

That's really cool and pretty! =3

Here they just require them to wear them in stores and stuff as far as I know. I've been wearing them for a while at work. I honestly don't mind entirely. I have fun with it and wear My Little Pony and ferret ones.

Only thing I hate about them is sometimes its hard to breathe. I sometimes get light headed at work from them, but meh.

I've been trying to sew different kinds to see which ones are easier to breathe in. Right now I'm playing around with ones that have vertical pleats in the center of the mask and it's working out a little better for me. I hate sucking in that fabric as I try to take a deep breath.

Hardly anyone is wearing them in Sweden. The approach is herd immunity I believe which is quite frankly, chaos in my opinion. I have not tried to wear one yet as I am scared about wearing or taking it off incorrectly, or how effective they are. I also have asthma, but I need to get used to wearing them for flying and returning to the UK, where they are mandatory in numerous places.

The only biff I have about it, is how it turned political, just because people in the various state and national governments do not want to follow advice given by the current administration.

There are some cases where masks should be worn, but if you know you are perfectly healthy, you shouldn't have to wear them. Even information from the various health organizations that actually know what they are talking about, has repeatedly mentioned that the people who should wear them, are those who are sick, or those entering places where it would be advisable to wear them, due to potential spread. If that advice, plus the requested social distancing requirements are followed, then there shouldn't be any major issues.

Heck, the last major pandemic 100 years ago, even though people across California and a number of other states protested wearing masks, people still wore them at sporting events, because health does matter if you are in a place where there are large crowds in close quarters.
