What do you think of the design and features (must join to see everything)?
I like the color but I'm not liking the background. I feel it is a little too bland for me. Since your forum has to do with manga & anime then you should put something in the background that has to do with manga & anime. Maybe some snapshots of some of different characters from your favorite manga & anime. However, you want to make sure that you can still see the header/banner of the forum. You don't want that to blend in with the background. Also, your "general discussion" area would be given it's own section if it were me. I would make an official off-topic section if you are going to add "general discussion".

Do you think my forum has potential to be at least moderately successful?
Whether your forum fails or succeeds depends on you. If you are committed to your forum and never give up on it, then your forum has the potential to succeed. If you give up on it too easy or loose interest in it one day, then your forum is more likely to fail or die out. I don't mean to put you under a lot of pressure or throw you under the bus, but that is what I believe will determine whether or not your forum becomes successful.

What do you think I could do to start getting members?
One suggestion I have right off the bat is you can do exchanges with other individuals (provided you have the time to do it). You and another individual can register and post on each others' forum once you've come to an agreement of how many posts you want to do. Some guests may be hesitant to join a new forum. By implementing my idea, it will make your forum appear to have more members and activity to guests that view your forum.
