I suggest you get a non-default skin and a custom logo. Those truly define a forum and are just about the most important thing. The default phpBB3 skin, prosilver, won't get you very many members.

Some links that you might want to look into for finding a new theme/logo:
http://www.phpbb3styles.net/
http://www.awesomestyles.com/
viewforum.php?f=83

Good luck!

That's not the default prosilver skin. It was a one I found in the ACP called "bloo" or something along those lines. I am on a free forum host, so there isn't much I can do except get a logo. Or else I can have my co-administrator see if there's something he can do.

Pretty cool! I might join!

Thanks! I'm glad you like it. Sorry about being on a free host. I don't have the knowledge to install mods, nor do I have knowledge of Cpanel overall, so advanced hosting is out for the time being.

It looks too much like the phpBB3 default for comfort. I suggest another, less plain, one.

Free hosts are actually quite good. 🙂 It mainly depends on what one you use and the amount of ads it provides or add-ons. Your forum seems awesome though. 🙂

Oh, I didn't realize that was the one you meant. I'll change the default to the one I'm using. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

That's what I like about ProPHPBB is that they have no ads, which is really nice.

Indeed. When I see a forum without ads I usually think they are self hosted. Is there a catch? If not then sounds like a pretty good deal. Do they allow you to edit the template?

This is not self hosted. I'm not sure one can edit the template. I haven't explored the ACP fully yet. I'll have to play around with that if I can.

You can't remove the ads but only guest can see them.

Ashely good job on choosing the best forum host around and I wish you good luck.

Sweet! Someone who actually agrees with me for a change ha ha! Thanks Dragon Master!

That's one thing I like as well is when only guests can see ads but regular members can't. I agree, ProPHPBB does an awesome job with their forums. For free hosts I would go to no one else anymore.

Stats update: Total posts 485 • Total topics 76 • Total members 10 We are really doing quite well! I would like to thank streetbackguy from Wober.net and The Doctor from Zerogravity for helping me out with this forum. Without you guys, I probably would've had this forum closed by next week, and there was no way we could've gotten where we are now without your guys' help. Also, I would also like to thank those who have so far shown interest in signing up to the site. You guys are an awesome help, and your activity on the forum is greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone!
