I won't be picking it up as I don't own a Wii U (not enough reason for me to get one yet, and waiting months between games I would want turns me away), but I admit this game is awesome. I've had some hands on time with the title in October 2013, and the game was awesome then, so I imagine the final product will be nothing short of stellar.

I don't have a Wii U either. =(

but this looks promising! I can't wait for it! my brother's gonna get it, so maybe I can go around his house just to play it. xD

I will eventually get a Wii U. I'm currently investing in one. =P

Well, if you buy a Wii U and Mario Kart 8, you can get a free Wii U game. That's a good deal IMO.

But...

...might be a deal-breaker. You're going to have to wait some time before the "really good" games are released (I'm talking about X, Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem, Super Smash Bros, Zelda, etc).

Still, if you buy MK8 before July 31, you can download one of the following games for FREE :

- New Super Mario Bros. U
- Pikmin 3
- The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD
- Wii Party U

You need to register the game with Club Nintendo though (or buy digitally after linking the system with CN). Those games and 3D World (if bought separately) may occupy your time. Europe has more choices to select from (like Monster Hunter and Wonderful 101).

Awesome! I hope you're able to take advantage of the MK8 promo.

I'm aware of the free game offer, but it doesn't interest me to buy a console that hasn't got enough games I personally want, nor has yet to resolve its software drought issues. Besides Mario Kart 8 the only other Wii U title I know of that I care for this year is SSB4. It also isn't helped I got a 3DS recently, which has a lot more to offer and therefore is more worth spending my money for games on.

Yup, I'll be getting the game, especially with the free game offer! 🙂

Nice! If you have Wi-Fi, PM me your Nintendo Network ID and we'll race 😀

If anyone wanted to know, here is the list of playable characters in the game :

The game comes out tomorrow in the United States and I'll be getting it at midnight. Sadly, I won't be home from Friday to Monday so I'll post my thoughts about the game on Monday.

Sadly, I won't be able to pick it up due to monetary issues. But, It looks absolutely amazing and the MK series has always been very dear to me. T this day, I still play Mario Kart 64

I picked up on release and I've been enjoying it so far, my only complaint is that it's a bit too similar to Mario Kart 7 in terms of gameplay, but that's fine.

Finally played some of it and I enjoyed it. A lot better than Mario Kart 7 obviously and I like that they brought back some of the tracks from Mario Kart DS like Moo Moo Farm <3

I just wanted to say that Mario Kart 8 is my second favorite installment in the series (behind Double Dash). While I'm disappointed some of my favorite courses of all time didn't return (Wario Colosseum!), the anti-gravity and the pace of the game just felt... right. The online was really smooth as well. A must get for the Wii U!
