Why do SEO and Marketing companies e-mail personal websites where traffic and search engine traffic is not always the most important part of running their websites compared to other things like finding members for a forum, and earning enough money to pay web hosting bills?
Wouldn't these company who e-mail personal websites use their time and money better finding actual for-profit companies which can afford SEO, Marketing, web design, and other services for hundreds of dollars which the typical owner of a personal or not-for-profit website can't afford, or can't justify spending money on since it is a hobby, and non-profit?
For example, I get a lot of e-mails asking if I want better search results from SEO companies, but I state on my site that my site is just a personal website for me to share my hobbies, and not really a business except for a few Adsense, and Amazon ads.
