Thoughts?

In my opinion it depends who they get to replace him... he did a good solid job but nothing more and lacked ambition with his transfers on the whole and they weren't really progressing much with him... three years in a row they came sixth.

Apparently it's because of Randy Learner 'accepting' a bid for Ashley Young. This is unofficial at the moment. It's something I've been told.

If it's true then what will happen? O'Neill, Ashley Young and James Milner going? Where is our squad now?

I haven't heard anything of the sale of Ashley Young at all, have you got any sources for this online at all?

If Young and Milner go you could sign adequate replacements with the transfer funds generated through the sales in my opinion.

Nope, no sources unfortunately. It is true though, Martin O'Neill is a huge fan of Ashley Young so it is a possiblity.

And Milner isn't replaceable. Quality player.

He is a very good player but irreplacable? No. Plus you might get Ireland as part of the Milner deal who would be a bloody good replacement if he can find form.

He done a better job at Celtic than at Aston and he promised to do better which he didn't.

My dad knew him and my step dad currently has picked him up once or twice in a taxi call out.

Stephen Ireland is nothing compared to Milner.

Milner is a more versatile player but he's not outstanding at any one thing. Good work rate, can shoot, can cross well, but not exceptional at anything. Ireland is more creative and can score as many if not more goals than Milner. They aren't in particularly similar players but you're getting a great deal if Ireland does go to Villa IMO.

Looks like Villa might not have a good season this year. Hopefully they'll sign a couple of players in time and find a replacement. I thought they would do good this season but as that their key player is gone and another one also might be moving so it'll be a tough season for Aston Villa.

He wouldn't fit in our squad, then again it's probably going to have a re-shape with all the players leaving.
Have you seen Milner's crosses? That's what I call exceptional.
