May Day

Happy May Day! Except not all of us celebrate this, or even know what it is. From what I read somewhere,this is a more European holiday. I could be wrong by that though.

Since we have a lot of European members though, do you celebrate May Day? What do you do?

In the US, it is just another day. Yay.

May Day on May 1 is an ancient Northern Hemisphere spring festival and usually a public holiday;[1] it is also a traditional spring holiday in many cultures.

May Day is related to the Celtic festival of Beltane and the Germanic festival of Walpurgis Night. May Day falls half a year from November 1 – another cross-quarter day which is also associated with various northern European paganisms and the year in the Northern Hemisphere – and it has traditionally been an occasion for popular and often raucous celebrations.
