So I have been thinking about moving from a dome-switch keyboard, which are the standard keyboards, to a mechanical keyboard. Albeit, the keyboard I am looking at is $150, but I feel it would make for a good replacement seeing as how I am a typist and I think having a more tactile response from the keys will aide in the typing feel.
What about you? Do you have one now? If you do, what Cherry MX switch are you using? The one I am looking at getting is using blues, but I thought about greens. If you don't have one, would you switch?
I am also thinking about getting a mechanical keyboard because I heard they last a long time, and will make typing, and playing PC games with a keyboard more enjoyable and precise.
I use to use a fancy keyboard awhile back for gaming, they do have better response time I believe, so this would be a great choice for you. Especially if you're typing for long hours or a hardcore gamer.
Well I went to BestBuy yesterday and bought a Razer Black Widow Ultimate and wow, this is amazing. I can really feel the difference and I don't think I could go back to a regular keyboard as my main driver. Probably the best $140 I have spent in a long time 🙂
I've been wanting a mechanical keyboard for a very long time. My friend just got one as well and the typing is just majestic. I don't have the money to dump on one though, so maybe after awhile I can invest. 🙂
I have been dying to get my hands on a Razer for years. As an avid World of Warcrafter, standard keyboards are just too damn boring. I can't afford to keep all my bills paid right now, otherwise I'd go buy one! Enjoy it man!
I primarily use a Max Keyboard Nighthawk X9, which I got for $120. Personally, I think most of them are fine for typing, even the Cherry MX Red switches which I use.
I had a few friends convince me to get a mechanical keyboard. I was pretty skeptic at first but I really do enjoy it. I mean, I had a really good keyboard before (The Logitech G110) at the time but I don't think I could go back.
