Where I live in Northeast Tennessee/Southwest Virginia, so many hospitals are owned by the same company. Is this good or bad? What could be done to change things?

I don't know about you but the medical system in the US has been broken for a while. You can't go to the doctor without getting a 600 dollar bill in the mail that your health insurance kicked. That's pretty aggravating. Especially when you're paying your health insurance provider a lot per month. I've always viewed most health insurance companies as thieves. I felt that they just took my money and refused to help me when I needed it the most. for 12 years, I have paid $3,300.00 of my own medical bills out of my own pocket, no thanks to a crooked health insurance company.
