As many here know and myself Bernie Sanders is attempting to get a Medicare For All bill through Senate and Congress.

So I am curious on peoples thoughts, but before you do I would like to share a piece of information.

http://www.hannity.com/content/2017...s-medicare-for-all-would-bankrupt-the-nation/

Secondly, Bernie Sanders Medicare-For-All plan will force those over 65 to be only ones to pay a 20% deducible when visiting their doctor, etc. He also has no plan on how to fund such a 'generous' healthcare plan when he was asked his response was, "I am not sure, but nothing is perfect.". Does this seem like someone who knows what to do with our healthcare plan?

I care what happens to the medicare in my own country. My thoughts that the even there is funding it doesn't go to the right place that needs it

Isnt a combined policy of a insurance for all with a government subsidy for important drugs a better idea?

The USA spends more money per person on healthcare than any other industrialized country, for less care. How are you okay with that?

Well if we went with Bernie Sanders new healthcare bill it would increase even more so. Individuals he spoke to about "spending" suggested taxing low-income and middle-class citizens to as high as 20% to cover to healthcare expenses. So as you said we spend more money per person on healthcare imagine that tripling under Bernie's plan. Then he expects those over 65 to pay 20% deductibles while those under do not, but regardless it is still extremely high and a large burden on lower-income and middle-class citizens who make the economy what it is here in the US.

Every country that has universal health care spends less on healthcare per person than the USA. Why can't the USA do what every other major country is already doing?

Government programs have to be paid for - so while I'm a man of compassion and generally liberal, I have to admit a lot of things are not financially sound. That's one reason the economy might crash (cash with no basis in anything real (gold))

I think emergencies should be funded by the government and also there shouldn't be homeless on the street, but I don't think it's realistic to think the government can pay for all healthcare, especially one whose currency (The US) is falling in value.

Something else I would like to add to the debate. So who is willing to pay 52% tax rate on healthcare from their income?

That article is misleading, the new 52% tax bracket would apply only to income above $10 million, which effects only the richest 0.01% of Americans. I don't think that's unreasonable.

The USA is already paying more per person than any other industrialized country for healthcare. A single payer healthcare system should make health care costs go down. If you take all the money you are paying for insurance right now, and instead pay a fraction of that amount in taxes, you're actually saving money.

OK, @Donald J Trump - response?
