Here is a picture of my dog that I just adopted today.

AND, he has a cone/cup on his head because he just got neutered yesterday so we don't want him to be licking his stitches.

Ive been thinking about getting a dog.

Anyone know of any breeds that dont bark a lot? I dont want a dog to stand at the backdoor barking for me the whole time I am gone at work. My neighbors would shoot me.

It was a joke......No dog is a quiet one, barking is their way of communication and maybe if a dog is left home alone all day then that's not fair either?

Almost everyone has work or school or some sort of obligations that take them away from the home for a certain amount of hours per day (most of the week).

That's weird....I've never had to put a cone on my dog after he'd gotten neutered....how long does he have to keep it on?

A good dog that won't bark would be a golden retriever (that's what I have). I've never heard him bark even ONCE. 😛
