First Impressions & Appearance

When a potential user visits your forum, you want them to have excellent first impressions. I honestly had decent first impressions, but that's not a problem, the whole point of our review service is too improve your forum, provide you feedback, and overall, help lead your forum to success. First off, your logo is a little too simple for my liking. I feel you should have something special about, you could make the text glossy or something. I feel you need something to spice it. Right now, it's just too basic. You could add an icon to the logo as well. Secondly, you need a favicon. Favicons are just sort of necessary these days, the forum looks silly without one. Your forum's favicon seems to currently be the default IPB favicon, I think you should customize that to a favicon fit for your forum. It could be any 16x16 (in pixels) icon, it could be a gaming controller or just a simple "MV" that matches up with the logo and the color scheme of the forum. Thirdly, I love the header background. It's an awesome header background that fits your forum genre, but I feel the opacity of the background could be a bit higher, it seems to go nearly unnoticeable when you first visit the forum. It's a great thing really, but it isn't helping anyone if potential users don't notice it. Lastly, I like your theme. You chose a nice theme that fits your forum well. The pattern on the category background looks fantastic. It also has a nice and dark color scheme, which goes well with gaming forums. Overall, you have done a nice job with this except for a few things. I wish you the best of luck making improvements.

Site Layout

Your layout is very nice. You have improved it a lot since I last reviewed your forum. Anyways, you have a total of eleven boards in three categories. That is an awesome amount of boards and categories. You have done a great job adapting the layout to what currently fits the needs of your forum; your forum only needs that many boards right now, but once activity increases, it could expand a bit. I think you could consider switching places between the sports board and the technology sub-board. I'd expect the technology area to get more activity than the sports area. Lastly, I feel you should move the "Community Events" sub-board to being a sub-board in "Community Feedback," then changing the board to "Community Feedback & Events," etc. Overall, you have done a fantastic job with your layout. Great job.

Statistics and Activity

Mega Victory has managed to accumulate 3,672 posts by 1,907 members as of right now. Over 1,900 members is amazing, but it's sadly too good to be true. Your forum obviously must have had an issues with bots or something in the past. That's the only thing I can think of that would really explain why you have so many members and so few posts, unless you merged member databases. If the majority of these members are legit, you really need to work on motivating these members into posting and participating. You need to get the members pumped. Make sure your staff members are doing whatever they can to help with activity as well. Your forum's activity is obviously very low, so you need to try your best to change that. I think an email reminder would be great if all these members have valid email addresses, but if you don't, I think you should consider pruning your member base. Just keep trying with getting activity really though. Some things you can't control, but then again, some things you can control. If you keep putting in an effort, your forum's activity will eventually improve. Good luck!

Staff Moderation

Staff moderation seems to be going pretty well. At least I don't see any posts that need to be moderated. The staff members should not only be moderating the forum, but also being somewhat active though. They can't moderate the forum if they don't log in. Any staff member that is inactive for more than a couple weeks without a notice beforehand probably shouldn't be a staff member as their dependability should be questioned in that case. So, your forum has five staff members. Two staff members are administrators, one staff member is on the graphics team, and two staff members are blog writers. The blog writers seem to be active and the administrators seem to be somewhat active as well. The graphics team member is really inactive though, I feel this person doesn't deserve to be on the staff team. It may be a staff position that focuses on the appearance of the forum, but this person should still be contributing to the forum in other ways. Lastly, I feel you could make the staff team simply smaller. Your forum doesn't need five staff members as it's not that active right now. Two or three is all you really need for your forum to grow as of right now. Good luck making these changes.

Spelling/Grammar & Professionalism

I don't see very many issues with spelling and grammar. Spelling and grammar is obviously important, and it looks to me like you realize this as you have really done an excellent job keeping spelling and grammar mistakes to a minimum. You also have done a pretty good job keeping the forum professional, but still being a nice and fun gaming forum. It's a relaxed atmosphere definitely, but you seem to have set a pretty good line between being relaxed and being so professional that you're uptight. It's sort of like a casual professionalism, I like it for sure. One thing I noticed about professionalism that could be fixed easily, I think you should have a rule for the staff members to provide feedback through the staff board, not the normal "Community Feedback" area. I see a topic where a blog writer presented his feedback. It's great that a staff member presented feedback, but I feel feedback about the forum between staff members should just be kept between staff members. Now, I'll point out a few spelling and grammar errors I came across. First, in the "Community Feedback" board description, "Comment" doesn't need a capital letter. Secondly, in the "Microsoft Central" board description, "the" needs to be removed in between "as" and "Xbox." Thirdly, I feel you need to make your "PC Gaming" board description as in depth as your other board descriptions in the "Gaming Heaven" category. The board descriptions are excellent truly though, you have done a great job with them. Lastly, in the "Entertainment Planet" board description, "Movies" and "Music" do not need to be capitalized. Overall, you have done a pretty good job, except for a couple minor things. Nice work!

Final Remarks
Mega Victory looks like a great gaming forum honestly. It just really seems to be struggling. I think a revamp might be good, it seems almost as if the members are now bored by the forum.
