Have you ever considered having the members decide as a group what happens to other members on the site who break the rules? Can they decide whether others should be on Mod Queue or just outright banned?

I never had members who wanted to decide to do it as a group or even vote to remove another member. It's always been down to the site staff team and that ends up being discussed behind the scenes

That is already a thing. Those members are called staff.

Besides staff.
Yes. There is a forum I've been on that decides whether someone can or cannot stay if they're upsetting people. The mods bring it up in discussion and then dish out a ban if that particular member is behaving in a way that everyone doesn't like.

Nope, I usually just left that decision to staff. That said, I would definitely factor in a member's account of events in considering the fate of others on the site. I would want to look into things myself first, of course, because sometimes people can unfortunately be petty and biased, but it would give me a direction to look into and give me something to consider in my decision on what to do in order to best keep the community as a whole happy and a safe environment for all.

I think it's fair for users to have a say in certain situations, but issues where, for instances, someone shares unpopular opinions and others just don't like it, but that person is otherwise following the rules, that's not a situation users should have input on. So...yes, to an extent it's a good thing, but not always.

The community matters. You need to listen to the community, and do what's best for the community if situations like this arise.

To earn at myLot.com one depends on the responses/comments one receives. There is a tendency where members can on purpose ignore to respond or comment.
