Have you ever had any members warn you about members apart of your staff being bad for your forum? What did you do?

I just removed a moderator on my forum for having a history with one of my partners as a moderator, and he or one of their old moderators scammed him out of the money during a promotion.

Never had anyone come to me, But I have seen things that I ended up not happy with and even when I gave them chances after awhile they got removed

That's horrible to deal with!!

I had someone accuse one of my moderators of something, but it was an unfounded accusation and the guy is an elderly Christian gentleman who wouldn't cross the line.

My ex moderator admitted to it. My other partner told me that person would never be a moderator for them again, and that made my decision easier.

Create a Do Not Hire list in case he returns 5 years from now and you don't remember what he did. Scammers gonna scam.

I won't forget. The poker community is a tight circle, and he hid this secret from me for about a year. StockPoker/my partner didn't know it was him for sure, until I got my old mod to admit it.

I would do this anyway. Create a "do not hire" list. Put who you won't hire but also put why you wouldn't hire them.

This is a good piece of advice. Thank you.

The situation as described is not nice and not something I'd want to deal with.

I have had the occasional complaint from members regarding moderator decisions but I'm fastidious when it comes to creating audit trails so I can always see exactly what occurred on both sides.

I'm also very careful about who I take on as staff and I don't actually recall the last time I had to reverse a staff decision so I've been lucky in that respect.

End of the day you ahve to give people an option and a chance I mean how would anyone would know
