Does anybody here suffer from memory issues?

I've had increasingly problematic memory issues over the past few years. I meet people sometimes and can't remember who they are the next day. I also forget what I'm doing a lot as I'm doing it. I also forget to do things that I just talked about a few minutes ago.

Haven't had that issue yet, unless you consider me forgetting what someone says, when I am spacing out on something.

With my low iron it's supposedly normal for me to have bad memories.

I remember things that don't really matter but I forget things too 😛

You might say that I'm brain dead after playing games, but other then that I have an very good memory. So you re member me "empire" 😛

I have had some episodes but never something grave. I think mine are triggered by, I don't know, I think it could be stress. Stress seems to be the answer to anything that happens to me.

Except for last night. I told my partner not to enter the room when he arrived from work because I was embarrassed by the mess I had and he did anyway and it turned out I had cleaned it. I have no recollection of cleaning it except for putting down an easel because I didn't want it to fall on me by accident.I can recall that thought and the intention of moving it out but it doesn't connect with anything else but the notion that happened after I was being frustrated with the mess I had in both rooms. For all I recalled until he opened the door I had just got back to the computer to try to relax and then I had lost track of time and he arrived.
This is weird because I wasn't not as stressed as I have been in the past months which would have made more sense to have one of these weird episodes.

The only bad timing I can recall with this happened when I was a still studying. I recall getting on one bus and then getting off a different bus. Now I do like to indulge in daydreaming but that is not explanation for being unable to recall what you did for a questionable gap of time that is closer to one or two hours. It is actually terrifying when you just 'wake up' (if that makes sense) to the notion that you're heading a different direction, thinking the driver got it wrong and then realising you are not in the same bus you hop up. At first I thought. big deal, I must have gotten in the wrong bus from the start and didn't realise, but no, the inside was different and I could only catch the second one if I used the first one to get me to its terminal. Fortunately, even though I was going the opposite direction I originally planned, I still could make up where I was and what to do.

Since I moved to Australia I can only kind of remember (hah!) one incident where I temporarily forgot about someone. It was weird and I just went with the flow, but when I remembered it was no like in the movies sudden realisation. It was like I always knew, except that I remember how minutes ago I had that mental void. It didn't last long either so I never even mentioned it.

I have the forget what I am doing in the middle of it but I always have attributed taht to me not being in the moment. i get distracted very easily. Since I was a kid I would go to the shop and forget something. My dad even accused me of doing it on purpose just to tick him off.

I can totally relate to this! My mom gets so angry when I forget things...

I have a spectacular memory when it comes to things like trivia and dates.
Truth. This guy is a walking encyclopedia when it comes to dates!

My memory is fine. I forget things occasionally, but that's human I guess.

... Unless I forget that I forget stuff! 😱

I think my memory is pretty good, if I actually care to remember. Most of the time I don't really care what someone says so I won't remember what they had said. I pick and choose what I want to remember, I suppose. xD

Though if I get busy doing something or there's a ton of stuff to do, I'll forget to reply to threads or text back. I get busy and you're done for. 😛

My memory is the reason that when I say "Your secret is safe with me" I mean it... X'D

My second graders last year would make fun of how quickly I forgot things. They would always have to remind me of things. XD
