Men in Black: International is awesome! Recommend to all.

Yup. Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson have acted together before in Thor. 😀

Men in black is meant to have all men that are black and not an female

People said Doctor Who has to be a male... and hey we've had one season so far with a female Doctor. 😀

Well, things are changing in this world

Yeah female lead in "Men in Black" turned me off. Not going to feed the SJW film like this. Torrent all the way if it's even watchable. They did this feminist SJW crap in Incredibles too.

I have no problem with non-traditional characters - assuming they're talented and deserve the part.

Not blaming the actress as she is an good actor. I seen allot of good actors and even sexy hot looking females :tonguewink: But females doing roles that are meant for males is an no no. Like Doctor who, for 30 to 40 years they been doing males. Now it's an female...

You're saying that can't fight etc..?

You saying it's okay for females taken on males roles, like Robin hood being an Female. Miss Hood. Sounds cool though

Well, I suppose movies are responsible to the free market. If enough people say the movies are "too weird" - I suppose they would lose money and stop making them.

There are some movies that wouldn't work with the opposite gender. Something like Mary Poppins couldn't be done with a male. Can you imagine a 40-50 year old man singing to young children and being a nanny figure? Suppose it can happen but it sounds weird.

Movies like Men in Black are can be either gender. There's female characters in Men in Black such as the one played by Emma Thompson. She's not a man! What about the pug? The pug isn't a man?

I was about to say the same thing Aaron. Roles that have been written for men should be played by men, same as it is for women. However this film was written for men. Just because the title says “men in black”. It’s just a title. Also at the end of the first film they made that pathologist part of the men in black. She wasn’t shown in the other films, but does that not count for something?

Sometimes traditional roles win out due to the market. For instance, we had Obama for eight years in the US - but now the candidates - are old white guys.

the world is moving on it seems

The problem is that female and/or ethnic candidates (in western countries) seem to alienate traditional voters. In other words, if they're for THEM, then they're not for US. It shouldn't be that way, ideally, though.
