Michael Owen has completed his move to Manchester United after the free agent signed a two-year deal with the club.

The 29-year-old forward spent the day at United's Carrington training complex as the terms of his free transfer move were thrashed out.

The former Liverpool and Real Madrid striker's contract with Newcastle ended at the end of last month.

More to follow.

All I can say is: Wow...just, Wow

Too inury prone though if he can stay fit he could be a good signing and link up well with Rooney.

Never thought I'd see the day...

Still, if he keeps fit and plays regularly, it would be nice to see him back in the England squad. 🙂

so should we start a best soccer/football team debate in the debate section now, or would that get too heated 😛

If he stays fit is the question... I can't see him playing in more then 15 games this season.

It was a free transfer, Owen will score goals in any team that gives him enough of the ball. Real Madrid played too counter attacking at the time for him, and Newcastle were just awful.
Liverpool he played great for and scored goals, United will be the same.

It's like Eto'o, without the chances created by Barca, he'd be as good as Ade Akinbiyi..

He is a gun. He will dominate for united INHO

A 29 year old striker who is injury prone and past his best... not gonna happen.

I agree with that... I would have preferred to keep Tevez as he is a much better player and Berbatov is a lazy twat and suits sitting on the bench as lazy people like sitting doing nothing.

Whilst he might be lazy, he doesn't have the occasional bit of class that Tevez does... Tevez is more of a workhorse whilst Berbatov will get you more goals per season.

i recon owen will actually make an impact and prove to pretty much 99% of fans why fergy gave him a chance to prove himself.

Owen's scored 2 goals in his first 2 games for United.

First of many I reckon 😛...and I'm not even a United fan 😳

Ifhe can stay fit and get regular games then I think he'll do very well for us 😀

I moaned when i heard the new of this, ive never been a big Owen fan, BUT... he's been playing and scoring .. so i quite like him now haha

Aw this sucks. Owen is a great player, I just hate seeing him being with Man U.

Interesting move! The biggest shock to me was the fact he's getting the number 7 shirt... some real sporting legends have had a go with that one!

He'll be great for us, everyone wait for the season to start. 😛
