Do you use Microsoft Word? I have 26 files. I like organization. i.e. I have some for health, garden, diary, pets, etc.
What do you like about it? Is there anything you would change?
I haven’t used it in months, but I have it on my computer whenever I need it. I have used it to type of resumes a few times. Microsoft Word is a necessity because of all the file types that the alternative word programs can’t open.
I use Word all the time!! Since I do a lot of crafts (who me?), I like to print out the instructions, but it's too wasteful to print out instructions from sites. I end up copying and pasting segments of the instructions that I need, add the link to the site and a small pic and voila, 1 to 2 page instructions compacted. It's for my own personal use and I save them for years so I can go back and see the things I've done easily and I write notes on the pages as to whether I changed hook or needle size, if something should be re-worked, etc...
I've only used Microsoft Word on my laptop so that I could create a resume`. I can print from the printer that my husband has because my laptop is connected to it using blue tooth so I can print my resume` anytime I need to. Other than my resume`, I've not used it.
Microsoft Word is the best application for creating formal documents because so many people use it. But for a free option, Google Docs is great for cloud saves and ease of access. Never worry about not saving.
I signed up for a trial of Microsoft 365 in order to do a couple of documents on Microsoft Word a few weeks ago. Fortunately, I remembered to cancel before I got billed $100.
I've also used Microsoft 365 for years and Office before that. In truth I use the email client far more than any other component but it's handy to have Word and Excel on tap for the odd document. I must admit I don't actually know what else comes with the package but whatever it is, it never gets used.
