Is anyone is in the military, in a military family, or wanting to be in the military?

Well, I'm in a military family. My dad is a O3 in the Navy.

I want to be in the Navy too. But boot camp.... oh boi

Many of my friends are in the Army right now, and I plan on enlisting in the Navy this spring. Bootcamp doesn't have me worried though.

I'd love to join the Army, but I can't due to medical issues. 🙁

I wouldn't join the military. I have great instincts that would make me perfect for them, but I just couldn't do it.

I wouldn't join the army, a few too many close calls in my family. Anyway my dad isn't in the army but was in Iraq for a year as an engineer and my brother is a major in the Marines.

I have good qualities (20/20 vision, great hearing) that would make me cut out, but I can't stand the thought of killing another human being.

The Navy doesn't have a 'Major' rank, is he a Lt. Commander?

My bad I was thinking of the Marines, must have just typed Navy because someone else wrote it in this thread 😛

My grandfather was a Captain in the Navy.. I plan to be going to the coast guard academy and will owe them 5 years of service so I guess I will be serving in the military.

That's sad.

I have ADD, does that mean I can't join the military?

I served in the U.S. Air Force for 6 months and got medically discharged. Best 6 months of my life. Didn't have to worry about bills, money, etc. I learned more about myself in that 6 months than I would have in a lifetime without the military. I really appreciate the discipline and self-motivation I got in training.

Probably not. The military will see you as a risk. They will look at everything about you and make sure your mentally fit to have a gun and be overseas for long periods of time.
