Min/Max Word Count

I don't think either of them exist currently. We sometimes get short posts or very long essay-type replies in threads. Having a min count would be ideal though, to prevent spam. 😛

No I don't and I really dislike forums that implement it. Not everything I have to say is going to be long winded. That's just the way speech is sometimes.

I remember being on one forum that has a minimum word count of 8 words. If that was implemented here on FP, this very thread would have been blocked until she rephrased the question to make it long enough.

I think this feature is not necessary for any forums. It seems to be that admin are limiting the number of word member can write at each post. They will not willing to share with longer content. So don't implement it to your forum :nyan:

I'm actually a fan of a minimum word count for threads however I'm an avid opposer of minimum word count for posts. I think the whole reason of having minimum word counts is to create a quality post. This post isn't really "quality" driven and the minimum word count is there to prevent that.
